Dear Compatriots,
Yesterday in Thessaloniki, the prime minister of Albania made statements about Northern Epiros that are not appropriate for an elected head of a friendly and partner state!
A country that is a member of NATO and wants to become a member of the European Union cannot despise its minorities, democracy and human rights!
Mr. Rama unfortunately belongs to the generation of Hoxha’s ‘predecessors’ and has been nurtured in dictatorial concepts.
As much as he tries to project a modern side of himself, his actions and statements remind us where he comes from!
The neighboring country will probably need to pass to the new generation of politicians, to those who did not grow up in the dictatorship, to finally reach the European and democratically thinking “family” of states! Rama’s unacceptable statements unfortunately trouble Albanian society the same way they trouble Greek-Albanian relations!
Friendship and good neighborliness begin and end with respect for the rights of the ethnic minority in Northern Epirus!
No matter how much Eddy Rama and his ilk shout, the Northern Continent existed, exists and will exist in eternity when the existence and name of “Eddy Rama” has been erased from history and will no longer remind humanity of anything!
